What Parents Say

Ben and Michelle: “She’s Kind”

“I was recently sharing our birth experience with a co-worker. (She had originally recommended we get a doula!) She and I were in tears by the end. I realize more every day that I owe the success of a vaginal delivery to you.”

“Dear Jaye, Thank you so much for being with ous on the best day ever! Having you there made such an amazing experience even better-we look forward to many more happy, healthy, quick and painless births with you!”

“I knew Jaye loved to serve people when I first met her – I could feel an overwhelming amount of emotional support just in her embrace, (I’m serious). She’s passionate about what she does and this was apparent when she dropped everything to support us (with 2 days notice) – she slept on the couch in the living room to watching over our little one so we could rest. This was an incredibly difficult transition period for us;  with a newborn, a move and on-going construction but Jaye made it more manageable.  I can’t thank her enough for her support, grace and calming presence.”

“Thanks to Jaye, we got off to a great start with breastfeeding! I was so exhausted, but Jaye made sure that my son was latching correctly and showed me how to position him the first time I fed him. It saved me a lot of wondering about whether I was feeding him well in the first few months, and now we’re still going strong a year and a half later.”

“I know that the doula is meant to be there for the mother, but I have never been so happy to see someone as I was to see Jaye at 7AM standing in front of the hospital the day my son was born.  It was all I could do to drive my wife there with her cries of pain during the ever faster contractions. When I pulled up to the drop off, Jaye could clearly see I was overwhelmed and frozen. She calmly told me that she would take my wife and her bags. Then she looked at me and said, “go to the Valet over there and park your car, then come find us up in the birth center…deep breath, it’s all going to be great.” I am not sure I would have known how to park my car, had it not been for Jaye….and knowing about car parking wasn’t listed as one of her skill sets. Jaye is the teammate you want around on that big day.”
